3. Trademark Registration
In many cases after being successful with the use of the trademark or service mark in selling products or services, an owner will want to take the next step and register the mark with the Patent & Trademark Office. Because an infringement lawsuit is the only way, ultimately, to enforce trademark or service mark ownership, registration makes it a lot easier to win a federal lawsuit against later users. Registration establishes a presumption that anyone using the mark later is infringing on the owner's rights, which makes it easier to collect large damage and attorneys fees. Registration also puts the trademark or service mark into the Federal trademark database, so that it will appear in name searches, notifying people that this mark is taken and cannot be used by later users.

Please provide us with your trademark name and email address, we will email you with further instruction and request for information that we will need for the filing.
Step 1. Choosing a Trade Mark
Firstly you need to decide what sort of Trade Mark you want to register, basically a Trade Mark is anything that is unique to your business:
Step 2. Meeting the legal requirements
You need to be sure your trade mark can be registered and that it meets the legal definition - "a trade mark means any sign capable of being represented graphically which is capable of distinguishing goods or services of one undertaking from those of other undertakings"
Step 3. Which class of goods or services

You need to decide in which classes of goods or services you wish to register your trade mark

Step 4. Trade Mark Searchers
Step 5. Filing

Once accepted as registrable, your trade mark is published in the Trade Marks Journal. There follows a three month period during which oppositions may be filed. If there are no oppositions, your trade mark is formally registered and you will receive a certificate to this effect. Your registration lasts for ten years. If there are oppositions or problems with your application, these need to be addressed. Your Trade Mark Attorney's help is especially important here, but you can still proceed on your own.

If the problems cannot easily be resolved, your case will be referred to a Hearing Officer, a professional within the Patent Office who acts on behalf of the Registrar. His decision is final but is still subject to appeal to the High Court or "Appointed Person" being the appointee of the Lord Chancellor.
